Pavel Durov : Telegram founder arrested in France, Pavel Durov, Called "Russian Zuckerberg"

Pavel Durov, a Russian-born entrepreneur, is most known for developing Telegram, a prominent messaging application, and VKontakte (a social networking site). Born on October 10, 1984, Durov founded VK in 2006, and it rapidly became Russia's largest social network. He is often compared to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg for his success in creating VK, but his career took a significant turn after conflicts with Russian authorities.
In 2014, Durov left VK, citing pressure from the government to hand over user data, which he refused to do. After leaving Russia, he focused on Telegram, a cloud-based messaging app known for its privacy features and encrypted communication. Telegram has since grown into one of the world’s most widely used messaging apps, especially in regions where privacy and freedom of speech are at risk.
A self-proclaimed libertarian, Pavel Durov has been a staunch advocate for online privacy and encryption in messaging. He has firmly resisted any attempts to moderate content on Telegram, a platform that enables users to share videos, images, and comments on public "channels" accessible to everyone.
At 39, Durov became the subject of a warrant in France, linked to various criminal activities allegedly conducted on Telegram. These include accusations of fraud, drug trafficking, cyberbullying, organized crime, as well as promoting terrorism and fraud.
